The Hopscotch

The Hopscotch

The two authors, who have become staples of children’s literature, share with us the important moments in the life of a ten-year-old girl, Marie. It is also an opportunity to (re)discover a game with strong symbolism.

In this new album, Albertine and Germano Zullo pay tribute to one of the oldest games in Europe: hopscotch. This chalk line, still present today in many schoolyards, is a real symbolic journey from the earth to the sky. Following the pebble thrown by Marie, the central character of the album, we discover the different stages of her life: her first day at school, her first stuffed animal, her dreams, her vacations in the mountains and even her nightmares.
