Encounters move beyond words. And Joe Sacco, the pioneer of the reportage comic strip, knows this only too well. As part of a workshop at the Geneva School of Comics and Illustration, students
were given the opportunity to talk to refugees living in temporary accommodation. These stories were developed into comics. One woman and two men, from Georgia, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan:
three lives turned upside down by a twist of fate, war and ethnic discrimination. A collection of hard-hitting and important comics on a topical subject. Joe Sacco kindly agreed to illustrate the cover of this project.
