Martha lives in the countryside. Her favourite pastime is to ride her bike at full speed on bypaths. On a beautiful spring day, her parents offer her the big bike for adults she’s been dreaming of for a long time. But a young man settles in their house to work in the fields with her parents. The long expected bike loses all appeal compared to the mysterious Peter and his curious talent: Peter is a peculiar worker, he also draws. Every evening, after work, he settles at the big table under his cabin’s awning and draws in all sorts of notebooks. Martha, who is in charge of bringing him dinner, gets used to looking at him, she becomes fascinated by his magical movements and by Peter’s graphic imaginary. At the end of the summer, Peter leaves… Yet, fate has not said its final word. A beautiful story, soft and subtle, on the power of imagination and art and on the strength of friendship.
